French Revolution Journal Entry.

The past few years have been horrible. Most of the people are poor and can't afford most of their food and they can't support their family. Some people are so poor that they can not even buy our main source of diet, bread. The people are starting to get very fed up with the monarch, who doesn't do anything but stay in Versailles and have parties. They are ignoring our problems and don't even care about us. This has been going on for too long and we finally attacked against the government. A few months ago, most of the peasants went to the Bastille in the middle of France, and tore it down, one brick at a time. We destroyed the building and claimed the city of Paris in our name and let the monarchs know that this is our city, and they can not mess with us. Hopefully the government will hear our struggles and maybe they will think of doing some changes to help us.

Odysseus uses his wisdom to save his men from an eternity on an island which they would not be able to leave.
