Coldplay is a British band that was born in 1996 but was not discovered until the year 2000 with their hit song“Yellow” on their 1999 album “Parachutes”. They have also made other hit songs such as “Clocks” and “Viva La Vida”. The band consists of only four members, Chris Martin, Will Champion, Jonny Buckland, and Guy Berryman. Coldplay is considered do be one of the greatest alternative bands in Europe and America. With their 2008 album “Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends”, Coldplay changed their style to more modern French revolution and they changed their style again with their newest album “Mylo Xyloto”, and the song “Charlie Brown” conveys this style.

I think the first paragraph provides alot of background information. I learned about some of their early discoveries. The second provides you with info about their style,and what theyportray themselves as. The third taught me aboutthere second, and let me recognize what they sound like. The finalparagraph is very interesting, and finishes it good.
ReplyDeleteJohn, for your first paragraph I really enjoyed the back round information that you gave in the paragraph, for example the band's previous hit songs gave the reader a good idea of their previous successes. In the second paragraph, you make a good connection and reason for the making of the song. In the third paragraph your pop explanation of the song is very interesting, and your description of the metaphors is good. In your conclusion you end strong giving the reader a concrete grip on the theme mood and overall well being of the song.
